Thriving As A Single Mom

Life as a single mom isn´t easy, in many countries there is a stigma towards unmarried, single women with children. The society doesn´t accept that you have a child out of wedlock. You can feel that people are giving you the eye and are talking about you behind your back.
In addition, as if this wasn´t enough then comes the problem with providing for yourself and your children. To find work and to be able to take care of your children at the same time, when society turns its back on you is not easy. Many times loneliness and depression come along and sometimes even the thoughts about leaving your child to foster care just to make your own life easier starts to come into your mind.

This is where we, Prejens care foundation, wants to come in and make a difference. No woman should feel forced to give up her child just because of being a single parent. Our mission is to find, help and assist the less privileged single mothers and widows with food, relief materials, and shelter and to help them train the children.

What this means in the real sense is that we will locate single mothers and help them with their needs, to prevent them from leaving their children and to be a support to the family.
It could be just as simple as being a shoulder to lean on and a person to talk to but it can be of a more practical nature. Food for the day, new clothes for the children, help to find work or start your own business, get a decent place to live and the possibility to put your children to school.
We want to be a friend on the way, to help these families to be able to take care of themselves and not to be dependent on relief-help on a regular basis.

We always do a background check on the families we assist and follow them up along the way.

Story About Hope

Hope is a powerful thing, it can remove obstacles and move mountains if you hope and pray hard enough but when hope has left you, then you are feeling totally empty and lost, especially if you are in a vulnerable position. Being a single mother or a widow, sometimes you lose hope for the future and just don´t see the point of it all.
 
We at Prejens Care Foundation want to be the light in the darkness, the pillar of hope for the less privileged single mothers and widows with children. Many times it doesn´t take much for hope to return, a helping hand, a simple token of respect and the feeling of being valuable.

Our vision is to strengthen the lives of single mothers and widows and give them the possibilities for a good stable future.
With a little help from our donors, we can make a great deal of difference in the lives of many. To give a mother hope for a better future will also give a child a happy, stable upbringing and can we even give this child the opportunity of a good education he will in his turn give hope and joy for the future generations.
